What are The Pilgrim Letters?

The Pilgrim Letters is a journey into stories of love, courage, intrigue, and devotion—all told in the most intimate way possible: through letters.

Across the year, twenty four letters will arrive at your door- each one carefully illustrated, each one carrying a keepsake from the past. Over the year, your collection will grow into a pilgrims chest of keepsakes-each one a reminder that the story is not just told, but lived. Every piece is crafted to help you pray with history and encounter its living heartbeat today.

This isn’t just storytelling. It is a pilgrimage of the heart, one letter at a time. A chance to travel across centuries, meet saints and seekers, and feel the pulse of history through the written word.

What will I receive in my subscription?

Each story consists of 24 letters sent over a period of twelve months. In addition to the letters, each envelope includes photos from that pilgrimage site, additional items such as postcards, holy cards, maps, journal pages, stickers, and more. All items are carefully designed to provide you with a truly immersive experience.

When my pilgrimage ends, does it auto-renew?

Each pilgrimage is purchased individually and does NOT automatically renew after the twelve-month period. When you’re ready to begin your next pilgrimage adventure, simply visit our website to select your next journey.

You are also welcome to subscribe to multiple stories at once, or take your time and enjoy each story one at a time.

Can I select a future mailing date for my letters?

Unfortunately, we currently cannot provide exact future mailing dates. Letters are shipped within 1-3 business days, with an estimated delivery time of 2–5 business days after shipment within the US (total transit time: 5–8 business days). International orders have an estimated delivery time of 2-4 weeks after shipment. A tracking number will be provided once the letter has been shipped.

As a helpful guideline, we recommend placing your order based on these processing and shipping timeframes to align with your preferred delivery window-especially if you’re planning the arrival of a gift.

Also, while we don’t offer a personalized gift message, we’ve created a Gift Certificate, which you can either print or email. This gift certificate lets your recipient know that a series of special letters is on its way.

How do I order for multiple recipients at different addresses?

To send gifts to multiple recipients, you will need to place a separate order for each recipient.

Visit our website and choose a prepaid or monthly story for each recipient, then add it to your cart.

Shipping

• Enter your recipient’s shipping address so their letters will be sent directly to them.

• For multiple recipients at different addresses, complete the order for the first recipient, then place a new order for each additional recipient.

Billing

Enter your own billing information. All billing details will be sent to the email you provide.

I’m missing a letter, what now?

Missing Letters

Your first letter will be shipped in 1-3 business days, and delivery will be 2-5 business days after that (5-8 business days total). We will send a USPS tracking notification upon fulfillment.

International orders have an estimated delivery time of 2-4 weeks after shipment. A tracking number will be provided once the letter has been shipped.

Remaining letters will be sent via regular mail and generally mailed on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month. Please allow up to 2 weeks for US delivery, and 4-6 weeks for international delivery. Please also take into account any USPS holidays which may extend the date of your letters’ arrival.

If you haven’t received your letters by then, we will resend the letter at no additional cost to you.

Letters lost, damaged, or inaccurately addressed by The Pilgrim Letters or the USPS will be resent at no additional cost to you.

Letters lost, damaged, or inaccurately addressed by the customer recipient can be replaced at a cost of $5(US) for US letters and $7(US) for international letters. Please ensure the address is correct when ordering, or notify us in a timely manner if your address is changing. We require a three week advance notification of an address change.

We also highly recommend signing up for Informed Delivery with USPS. This is a FREE service in which they’ll notify you via email with scanned images of soon-to-be-delivered mail. Click here to sign up.

Missing Products

Keepsake Chests will be shipped via USPS Ground in 1-3 business days after that (5-8 business days total). We will send a USPS tracking notification upon fulfillment. 

International orders have an estimated delivery time of 2-4 weeks after shipment. A tracking number will be provided once the letter has been shipped.

How do I return an order?

If you are dissatisfied with your pilgrimage, please let us know within 45 days of purchase to receive a refund. Refunds are not automatic with cancellations but available upon request. You are welcome to keep the letters that have been delivered to you. 

You may also change pilgrimages within 60 days for the cost of $5/letter ($7/letter internationally) already sent or processed. We can send one letter at no cost to you. After 60 days, changing stories is not available. 

Please note shipping costs are not eligible for refund. Costs and/or charges will be deducted from the approved refund amount.

After 45 days

Monthly Subscriptions

After the refund guarantee expires (45 days), refunds are not available for monthly payments already collected. We will, however, send you the remaining letters that have been paid for.

Prepaid Subscriptions

After the full refund guarantee expires (45 days), you are entitled to a prorated refund of your subscription for up to 60 days from when your subscription began. 

After 60 days, refunds are not available for prepaid subscriptions. The remainder of the subscription will be mailed to the address provided. 

Refunds for Non-Letter Products

Refunds for non-letter products are available if returned within 30 days of purchase. This policy is extended to 60 days for international orders.

Items must be unused and returned in the same condition that you received it. Please write “REFUSED” on the unopened box, and return to your mail carrier. 

If your box has been opened, we unfortunately cannot cover the cost of return shipping unless the product was damaged when opened. The box will need to be returned at the cost of the customer. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If returning the package at your own cost, please include the following information.

1. A copy of your order receipt in the shipping box with the item you are returning

2. Include your order number, email, and first and last name

3. Indicate the reason for the return 

4. State if you would like a refund or exchange 

Shipping fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be processed upon receipt of the product that is intact and unused.

Am I able to exchange for a different pilgrimage?

Yes, you may change pilgrimages within 60 days for the cost of $5/letter ($7/letter internationally) already sent or processed. We can send one letter at no cost to you. After 60 days, changing stories is not available.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

Letters

The first letter will be shipped via USPS. If you ordered a keepsake chest + pilgrimage, the first letter will be included inside the chest. It will be shipped within 1-3 business days, with an estimated delivery time of 2–5 days after shipment within the US (total transit time: 5–8 days). International orders have an estimated delivery time of 2-4 weeks after shipment.

Please remember these are estimates of delivery times. Occasionally, the USPS experiences delays due to various reasons such as weather, storms, equipment issues or high volume seasons like Christmas.

How do I change my address?

Please note that if you are planning to move, notifying your post office will NOT automatically forward The Pilgrim Letters. Additionally, updating your address in your account will NOT update it on our mailing lists. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This may result in delayed letters and, if two or more letters need to be resent without prior notification, a reshipping fee may apply. A three week advance notification of an address change is recommended. 

To update your address, please contact [email protected] with the following information and allow 1-3 business days for an agent to respond.

Do you ship internationally?

We send our letters all over the world! To learn more about our latest prices and sales, please visit our website at www.thepilgrimletters.com. International shipping varies depending on your subscription and will be calculated in the final price. 

Your first letter will be shipped in 1-3 business days, and have an estimated delivery time of 2-4 weeks after shipment. A tracking number will be provided once the letter has been shipped.

Other Products (Besides letters)

Keepsake Chests ship within 1-3 business days and a tracking number will be sent once we process your order. Delivery usually occurs within 2-4 weeks internationally.

Do the Keepsake Chests and Letters ship together?

The keepsake chest and letter subscriptions are sold separately; however, if you order both products together, the first letter will be included inside the chest and shipped via USPS Ground with tracking. It will be shipped within 1-3 business days, with an estimated delivery time of 2–5 business days after shipment within the US (total transit time: 5–8 business days). International orders have an estimated delivery time of 2-4 weeks after shipment. A tracking number will be provided once the letter has been shipped.

How do I update my payment and billing information?

Please contact us at [email protected] for detailed instructions. DO NOT send card processing information to us through email since it is not encrypted. We will provide you with a special link to process payment again with the new information based upon the specifics of your original order. When contacting us please provide: an order # or email address used to place the original order and Name of the Recepient.

Do you offer pilgrimages in different languages?

We do not currently offer our stories in different languages.

Do you offer larger font options?

We do not offer larger font options at this time.

How can I reach customer service?

For best results, please send inquiries to our email at: [email protected] rather than through social media channels. Sending an email helps us connect accurately to your account.

Please allow 1-3 days for an agent to respond. If we are taking a longer time to respond, we are most likely facing an influx of emails but we will help when we reach your ticket. Rest assured that when an agent reaches your ticket, we will do everything within our power to assist.

Sending multiple emails, chat messages, and Facebook posts unfortunately congest our systems and makes response time slower. When another email is sent within the same email thread, your inquiry is sent to the back of the line which further delays our response time due to our email processing systems.

If your email account is through Hotmail, Outlook, or an international organization, your email may be marked as spam. If you haven’t heard from us within the time allotted, please reach out with another email account.
